Pakistan has appointed Abdul Basit as Pakistan's High Commissioner to India.
Mr. Abdul Basit joined the Foreign Service in 1982 and has held various assignments in Pakistan Missions abroad and at the headquarters.
Important to note :
Salman Bashir will be replaced by Abdul Basit.
Before this Abdul Basit was the Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany since May 2012.
