An E-wallet scheme has been launched by Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a public sector undertaking of the Ministry of Railways, to make the payment process fast and to reduce transaction failures due to bank payment related problems.
Under this scheme, users can deposit money in advance with IRCTC which can be used as a payment option along with other payment options available on the IRCTC website for paying money at the time of booking tickets.
